Sustainability looks to protect our natural environment. It is a way for people to use resources without the resources running out in the future. That means we need to think about the way we live, move around the city, and make greener choices.
Learn how you can build a new, sustainable London. During the presentation talk about things that you will include in your city of the future.
You are going to become town planners. Hand out clipboards, role play costume e.g. hats and jackets and the Design your own City worksheet.
Split into pairs, work at tables and start building! Wear hard hats and do a risk assessment on site! Teacher - pretend to be site manager, walk around the groups, take photographs of the children’s work and praise efforts!
