More families can work.
More people can stay healthy.

Why do people in developing countries not have enough clean water or sanitation?

Climate change
As with many rural African communities, people living near the Serengeti National Park depend on small-scale agriculture for their livelihoods.
Rising temperatures and changing rain patterns make it difficult to grow crops to eat.

War
Some people need to move to overcrowded camps to escape conflict.
Often these camps do not have enough clean water or clean toilets.

Resources
Some rural locations don’t have enough money or materials to build fresh water pumps, wells and toilets.

What is the solution?

Supporting charities that work with communities.
Through education, communities can learn more about hygiene and sanitation.

Make people aware of issues around clean water.
Write to people in government. Ask people to help improve conditions.

Fundraising with charities to help raise money...
...so everybody can have access to clean water and sanitation.

Building more wells, water pumps in rural areas.
