Using social impact investment to inspire a generation
Michelle Parkes ·
Maths, English, Science, Technology; important parts of the school curriculum and covered, quite rightly, in-depth.
But, how about climate, sustainability and environmental learning?
Essential education to not only teach kids to love and learn the world but also develop the green skills our workforce will need in the future. Key research undertaken in the UK demonstrates we just don’t have enough green skills in our workforce. Demand is outgrowing supply and one-third of all jobs advertised in the UK and beyond last year needed at least one green skill.
Unless we start developing and honing these skills at a young age we will fall behind, especially when it comes to decarbonising our economy by 2050. Not to mention that children, as well as their support networks, need to be prepared for a climate-affected future.
By supporting positive sustainability education, we can help to build towards a better planet and foster a more sustainable future.
How can you get involved?
At Earth Cubs, we work closely with sponsors and partners to look at ESG Goals and the target demographics and geographies that matter to you. Maybe you have an affinity to Yorkshire or Texas or Buenos Aires!
We know you’ll have some important outcomes and KPIs and we’ll ensure we’re supporting these every step of the way. Our impact framework and reports can be shared with internal and external stakeholders as well as a wider audience.
It’s all about behaviour change and encouraging real-life action and impact. Why not work with us to get Earth Cubs integrated into your volunteering programme? Empower your staff to run school assemblies and inspire the younger generation! We’ve worked closely with National Grid to implement a very effective volunteering programme across the UK.

What does impact look like?
We know how vital it is to demonstrate real world impact. Every six months we will provide you with a full impact report including:
- Qualitative interviews/surveys with teachers, pupils and parents
- Real-life planet-saving school projects and campaigns
- Earth Cubs reach globally, as well as in specific target geographies
- Usage of interactive resources and effectiveness of learning objectives covered.

Your support will turbocharge your social impact, brand equity and staff engagement, and ensure we continue to offer the most engaging and effective learning tools, and further catalyse our fast growing community of schools - currently ~5000 schools in over 100 countries!
