Sea ice

Sea ice is a like a giant floating icy blanket.

In the summer there is less ice.

It's very important for animals like polar bears and seals.

What do you think may happen if all the sea ice melts?

Icebergs

Icebergs start as part of a glacier.

They break off and most of them is hidden under the water!

The really big ones can stretch for miles.

Glaciers

Glaciers are massive, slow-moving rivers of ice.

They move very slowly! Sometimes only a few inches a day.

Glaciers are like giant frozen reservoirs of fresh water.
