The Green Runners

Michelle Parkes ·

Helping to develop a more sustainable lifestyle is at the heart of Earth Cubs. We want to inspire kids to be the future global citizens and protect our amazing planet.

This is why we LOVE The Green Runners so much!

Check out our webinar with co-founder Darren!

They believe that every runner can be a green runner. And they use 4 key pillars.

1. How YOU move

2. How YOU kit-up

3. How YOU eat

4. How YOU speak out

From sustainable travel to looking after the running kit you own, to spreading the word. All vital if we want to create long term impact and change.

Darren, one of the co-founders has put together an AMAZING ode.

Plant a Tree this Christmas

The carbon particles, on the breeze,

Are captured and stored, by older trees,

Deforestation, an issue that’s known,

So we need more saplings, to be grown,

A natural choice, a great solution,

To help reduce, carbon pollution,

An issue for us, that needs reducing,

Are the T shirts, races keep producing,

They just end up, in our running kit drawer,

We’ve got enough, and don’t need more,

When old and torn, just think repair,

Or use EBay, there’s plenty there,

A greener choice, that’s really quick,

Their sign up box, just needs a tick,

So parents and carers, we ask you please,

Check for the option, of TreesnotTees,

For every race, we need the choice,

If not, you need to raise your voice,

Race organisers, will surely lose,

If their race you decide, not to choose,

So ask the question, of why they can’t,

Offer a natural choice, of a tree to plant,

If we run together, and do our bit,

We can help the planet, be more fit,

How amazing will, this Xmas be,

If we just ask Santa, to plant a tree.

Keep exploring
